Lawo designs, manufactures, and sells cutting-edge networked video, audio, and control systems for television and radio production as well as live performance applications all over the world. You will be a part of a team that delivers cutting-edge IP-based SMPTE 2110 broadcast infrastructure projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design & Consulting and implementation.

  • Provide technical consulting and develop conceptual designs tailored to customer needs. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine system architecture. 

  • Configure, program, and test systems before delivery. 

  • Commission systems on-site, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. 

  • Customer Support & Training.

  • Deliver operational and technical training to engineers and operators. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site. 

  • Perform system updates and health checks in the field and remotely. 

  • Collaboration & Documentation 

  • Work closely with internal teams across departments to ensure project success. 

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for customers and internal support teams. 

  • Support project managers with handover documentation and project coordination. 

  • Sales Support 

  • Assist in pre-sales and post-sales activities, including product presentations and demonstrations. 

  • Temporarily support blueprint testing and evaluation under the guidance of system engineering. 

Core Technology Needed:

  1. IP-Based Audio and Video Networking 

  • Familiarity with SMPTE ST 2110, AES67, and RAVENNA standards. 

  • Understanding of IP routing, multicast, and network configuration. 

  1. Broadcast Control Systems 

  • Experience with Lawo’s VSM (Virtual Studio Manager) or similar broadcast control systems. 

  • Ability to configure and automate workflows across audio/video devices. 

  1. Audio Mixing and Processing 

  • Proficiency with Lawo mc² series consoles and related software. 

  • Knowledge of digital audio signal flow, gain structure, and DSP. 

  1. System Integration and Configuration 

  • Hands-on experience with configuring and commissioning complex broadcast systems. 

  • Ability to read and interpret system schematics and signal flow diagrams. 

  1. Software & Tools 

  • Familiarity with Lawo configuration tools (e.g., Ember+, Home, SmartDASH, SmartScope). 

  • Competence in using network monitoring tools and remote access platforms. 

  1. Testing and Troubleshooting 

  • Skills in pre-delivery testing, diagnostics, and resolving system issues both remotely and on-site. 

  • Use of test equipment like audio analyzers, network sniffers, and waveform monitors. 

  1. Scripting and Automation (Optional but Valuable) 

  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Lua, Python) for automation and customization. 

 

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Deep understanding of live production workflows, digital audio systems, and broadcast infrastructure. 

  • Knowledge of IP-based media transport protocols (e.g., SMPTE ST 2110, AES67, RAVENNA). 

  • Familiarity with Lawo consoles (e.g., mc² series), VSM control systems, and HOME platform a plus!  

  • Understanding of signal routing, gain structure, and system architecture preferred 

  • Awareness of broadcast standards and compliance requirements. 

 Skills 

  • Proficiency in creating clear, user-friendly documentation for internal and external stakeholders. 

  •  Effective communication skills for delivering technical training and product demonstrations. 

 Abilities 

  • Ability to work in dynamic, high-pressure environments such as live event setups. 

  • Strong team player who can work across departments and with international teams. 

  • Ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions that ensure satisfaction. 

  • Readiness for travel (local/national/international) 

  • Willingness to stay current with evolving technologies and industry trends.
