Lawo designs, manufactures, and sells cutting-edge networked video, audio, and control systems for television and radio production as well as live performance applications all over the world. You will be a part of a team that delivers cutting-edge IP-based SMPTE 2110 broadcast infrastructure projects. 

YOUR CHALLENGE

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineering lead will manage the daily technical requests based on priority, resource load, and available technical solutions.

  • Responsible for maintaining effective customer relationships by setting accurate expectations and building confidence through transparent communication and consistency.
  • Effectively manage internal relationships.  Responsible for developing strong relationships with the Lawo broadcast engineering teams.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage workload; responsible for achieving tasks as assigned and/or working with the Project Manager to prioritize conflicting goals.
  • Identify trends and recommend strategies based on related problems or issues. 
  • Commissioning and Configuration of delivered products. 
  • Close collaboration with the LAWO headquarters in Germany.

Requirements:

  • Extensive background in broadcast, audio, network engineering, and software programming, with a focus on engineering.
  • Networking expertise with respect to Layer 3 environments and Multicast workflows
  • SMPTE 2110 / 2022 / AES67 IP solutions.
  • High competency in troubleshooting LAWO VSM, Home, HomeApps, and AP Products.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and working closely with others in a team environment.
  • Understanding of Automated service workflows, such as Ticketing Systems like Jira, or ServiceNow.
  • Education in broadcast, audio, or electrical engineering is preferred.[TL1] [AC2] 
  • Experience with IP projects, specifically SMPTE 2110 Networking expertise with respect to Layer 3 environments and Multicast workflows.
  • Moderately proficient with Python, Linux, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Docker and Ansible is preferred.
